Canyons of the Ancients National Monument is located in Southwestern Colorado and has over 6,000 archaeological sites, which represent the Ancestral Puebloan and many other Native American cultures. It is a white spired building which is considered as a perfect example of Modernist architecture. Some of the fishing activities that you can do include angling, ice fishing and high mountain stream fishing. However, before going fishing, make sure to check the seasons which have been set by the state and to obtain a fishing license. These historic sites would be: Bent's Old Fort National Historic Site, located near La Junta and is an adobe fur trading post in the 1840s that has now been restored; and the Sand Creek Massacre National Historic Site is located near Chivington.
